TOFO: A PRISTINE PARADISE ON THE INDIAN OCEAN
The biggest draw for travelers from around the world is the breathtaking, endless, secluded beaches, the unique and stunning underwater world, and the wonderfully relaxed vibe. Good vibes guaranteed! The village attracts both adventurers and those seeking spiritual retreat and relaxation. The perfect combination of awe-inspiring natural experiences and peaceful hideaways makes Tofo an ideal destination for anyone looking for a balance between adventure and inner calm.
Tofo is also an excellent destination for solo female travelers. While it may seem quite remote at first, it is now relatively easy and hassle-free to reach. A domestic flight via Maputo or Johannesburg brings you to Inhambane, from where it’s just a 20–30-minute drive to Tofo. Alternatively, you can arrange a private transfer from Maputo to Tofo, which takes about seven hours. The advantage of this route is the opportunity to pass through numerous villages and enjoy the scenery along the way.
