Spiti Valley:
Riding the edge of silence
About this Adventure
Spiti Valley, India: women’s high-altitude motorcycle expedition in the Indian Himalayas.
Ride deep into the high-altitude desert of Spiti Valley, where roads cling to cliffs, rivers carve through rock, and silence stretches wider than the sky.
From the green foothills of Himachal Pradesh, the route climbs steadily into a stark, lunar landscape shaped by wind, altitude, and time. Expect quiet mountain roads, both tarmaced and dirt, occasional water crossings, and demanding riding days that reward focus and patience.
This journey is designed for experienced riders who understand that steady judgment matters more than speed. Conditions change daily. Altitude is constant. Passes such as Kunzum La demand respect, acclimatisation, and a calm throttle.
This is adventure riding in its purest form.
Riders travel on the Royal Enfield Himalayan, a proven bike for high-altitude terrain (a 450cc upgrade is available).
The Expedition is led by Kerstin, founder of bike ’N Soul, together with her experienced local team.

MEET KERSTIN
Founder of bike ‘N Soul
Kerstin is a rider at heart, an adventurer by spirit, and the founder of BIKE ’N SOUL: a space created for women to experience the freedom of motorcycling and the deep joy of doing it together.
After years of riding and exploring, she discovered the magic that happens when women come together, not just to ride, but to grow, have fun, and face challenges side by side. In 2022, that vision became reality.
Today, her tours span Nepal, India and Tanzania, weaving together off-road adventure, cultural immersion, and genuine camaraderie. With small, supportive groups and hands-on guidance, Kerstin empowers women, often 60 and beyond, to ride boldly into the unknown.
“When women ride together, something shifts – the road becomes a place of connection, discovery, and quiet transformation.”
